TRUMPF GmbH

Our mission is to further develop and digitally connect production technology, to make it even more efficient, precise and future-proof. In doing so, we want to make manufacturing and its upstream and downstream processes more efficient. This is how we build the industrial world of tomorrow. We are market and technology leaders in machine tools and lasers for industrial manufacturing, and work with our innovations in almost every sector. Our software solutions pave the way to the Smart Factory, allowing us to implement high-tech processes in industrial electronics.

Our Partnership

For over 20 years Severn Machines have purchased, sold and refurbished used TRUMPF equipment, because its the best in the world! In 2010 Severn Machines and TRUMPF galvanised its relationship and Severn Machines were rewarded with it’s ISO accredited status for pre-owned machines and for it’s service to the industry.

TRUMPF Machine Range

2D laser cutting machines

Our portfolio contains the right machine to meet any requirement, regardless of the type of sheet metal you need to process. We provide targeted advice when choosing between CO2 and solid-state lasers and will be glad to find the best, most cost-effective solution for you. Your application is the key factor determining which machine is the right one for you. However, we don’t just focus on cutting times: we also strive to optimise upstream and downstream laser cutting processes. We are your one-stop supplier in this regard: providing the machine, laser, automation, software and the certainty of having an extensive international service network.

Solid-state Fiber laser machines

Solid-state lasers enable you to cut quickly, in particular when cutting thin sheet. This is made possible by their emitted radiation, which has a wavelength of around 1.03 μm. This means the energy is absorbed more intensely by the material than with a CO2 laser, which has a wavelength of 10.6 μm. The laser thus applies more energy to the sheet metal, which enables faster cutting.

CO2 lasers

CO2 lasers are tried-and-tested industrial lasers, durable, and robust. Their cutting edges are of such high quality that for the most part they do not need reworking: the 10.6 μm wavelength produces burr-free edges which have very low surface roughness and are immediately ready for further processing.

Punching machines

TruPunch machines from TRUMPF offer you flexible processing of a diverse range of parts. As well as punching, the machines provide the option of reforming metal parts or tapping – all on just one machine. The punching head can rotate tools in any angular position. This minimises setup times and increases your productivity. Innovative developments such as the active and retractable die ensure optimum part quality. Intelligent automation options make life easier for the operator and increase throughput.

Bending machines

TRUMPF bending machines represent a wealth of experience and pioneering innovation. The extensive portfolio includes machines for die and panel bending technologies as well as large format bending machines and fully automated solutions. There is a wide range of options available for each bending technology to suit your specific application. Use TruBend machines to precisely and cost-effectively produce simple and complex parts in any format. You always benefit from high-quality parts, increased flexibility, innovative tools, sophisticated automation solutions and intelligent software all from a single source. We focus on operability and ergonomics to ensure the machine supports operators in their work.

Punch laser Combination machines

TruMatic machines combine all the advantages of punch laser processing. Whether it is small lot sizes or large series: you will produce a wide range of parts and solve even the most demanding of tasks with the punch laser machines. The punching head processes standard contours and formed sections such as tabs or threads. The laser is simply the best for cutting high-quality outer contours and delicate inner contours. Only punch laser machines enable you to cut highly precisely or even on forms which have already been created.
